Dogfight is one of the most challenging design projects I've had so far. I was give $50 to create a set for a show with locations as varied as a nightclub, a diner, Vietnam during the war, and the Golden Gate Bridge.

I used a handful of furniture items to create minimalist design suggestive of each location. A bookcase made up the "hero piece" of the set, converting from a peep show arcade machine, to restaurant shelving, to a bed for the protagonist.

I also collaborated with the lighting designer to create a light fixture emblematic of the Golden Gate Bridge across the catwalk at the back of the black box theatre. It created a beautiful lighting effect during the main romantic scene in the musical.
